With regards to the Army Half Marathon, I applied JUMPSTART on the night before as well as 1.5 hours prior to the start of the event at 5.15am.
My legs felt fine and did not have the usual “jelly-like” feeling at the start line and I felt good to go. I held an easy pace of 5mins/km roughly for the entire race. But the main difference here is that my exertion levels remained relatively low until about 16km. I was more bothered about the blister on my foot!
